The Toughest And Most Durable Leather

ASTM

The American Society for Testing and Materials is the applicable US standard for safety footwear.

WeltrekII® Ultra Comfort Construction

JB Goodhue's exclusive WeltrekII® construction combines the age-old method of Goodyear Welt with proprietary features and superior components, resulting in ultra-comfortable, lightweight, flexible footwear that is "BUILT TO LAST™"

Armor Guard™ Metal Free

Our metal free boots with our Armor Guard™ formula are developed with a unique layering process that ensures maximum protection from impact. Completely metal free footwear, each shoe is passed through a metal detector in the final stages of manufacturing to double check for no metal whatsoever. All of our metal free product uses a multi-layered Kevlar® plate for the untimate in protection, while maintaining the flexibility of the boot.

i5 Insole

Ventilated climate control system, Memory foam in heel for additional shock absorption, Active custhioning in forepart with heel impact zone, Tortional rigidity with heel and arch stabilizer, Anti-bacterial and odor resistant properties.

Water Resistance

Water resistance is created through the water resistant coating applied to fabric. Creates a barrier between wearer and challenging wet weather. Water reisstant whilst being breathable and dexterous.

Highly Breathable

Highly breathable fabric is formed through one of two processes. Fabric itself is porous allowing air to vent, or fabric is woven in a pattern condusive to air circulation and ventilation.

Moisture Wicking

Moisture wicking fabric is designed to pull moisture away from the skin. As such, the fabric draws sweat and perspiration off of the skin and out to the exterior of the fabric. It is much easier for the moisture to evaporate on the surface of the fabric than when it is trapped between the garment and the skin.

COOLMAX®

COOLMAX® AIR fibers are engineered with a patented “propeller” shape able to produce fabrics with excellent moisture management. This performance is accomplished thanks to the fiber’s patented crosssection as well as fabric construction and finishing that results in outstanding AIR PERMEABILITY. COOLMAX® AIR fiber technology actively draws moisture away from the skin’s surface, dispersing it so that it can evaporate rapidly, thus keeping you feeling cool and dry. This is accomplished through the propeller cross-section. The wicking channels within the fiber and between fiber yarns quickly move sweat to the surface of the garment where it is evaporated. In addition, the high air permeability results in the exchange of the microclimate, adding the potential for additional cooling.

Impact Support

Our feet are our body's first shock absorbers - they alternately flex and stiffen as the body moves to absorb impact, respond to uneven surfaces and act as a lever to propel the body forward. Impact support is built into socks by the adding of strategically reinforced zones that are areas of high impact.

Achillies Tendon Support

Achilles tendon support alleviates pain and activates the musculature. A pad running along the Achilles tendon distributes the pressure uniformly but does not reduce wearing comfort.

Merino Wool

Merino is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. The wool provides some warmth, without overheating the wearer. It draws moisture (sweat) away from the skin, a phenomenon known as wicking. The fabric is slightly moisture repellent (keratin fibers are hydrophobic at one end and hydrophillic at the other), allowing the user to avoid the feeling of wetness. Like cotton, wool absorbs water (up to 1/3 its weight), but, unlike cotton, wool retains warmth when wet, thus helping wearers avoid hypothermia after strenuous workouts (climbs) or weather events.Like most wools, merino contains lanolin, which has antibacterial properties. Merino is one of the softest types of wool available, due to finer fibers and smaller scales. Merino has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio compared to other wools,

ProDri®

ProDri® is a membrane that allows moisture to leave the boot while preventing water from coming in, thus creating thermal stability and keeping the foot cool and dry.

Thinsulate®

Thinsulate® is the world's leading super lightweight insulation. Our insulated boots range from 200 -1200 milligrams of Thinsulate® insulation

KEVLAR®

The technology of combining high strength with light weight, added with comfort and protection, helps to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Products made with KEVLAR® brand fibers help those who use them to do more, to go farther, to be even better at what they do, to realize the Power of Performance. KEVLAR® is one of the most important manmade organic fibers ever developed. The KEVLAR® fibers consist of long molecular chains produced from poly-paraphenylene terephtalamide. The chains are highly oriented with strong interchain bonding which results in a unique combination of properties. The general features include: High tensile strength at low weight, low elongation to break high molecules (structural rigidity), low electrical conductivity, high chemical resistance, low thermal shrinkage, high toughness, high cut resistance, flame resistant, self-extinguishing

Thinsulate®

LENZI® composite products offers high performance penetration protection. It's made from multiple layers of HT ceramic material, like balistic armour for your feet. Since it's far more flexible than a steel plate, it doesn't transmit heat or cold. Meets CSA standards for safety.
