I notice that your boots come 3e how wide is that buy redwing with doulble e
May 5, 2021, 11:48 AMHi,
Generally speaking, a 3E width would be considered wide width and a 2E width would be narrower than the 3E. That said, I cannot speak on how Redwing makes their boots, If you have a wider foot than normal, then the 3E width would be a good option. Also note that our 00800 and 00801 ironworker styles are a narrower fitting 2E.

does the boot have a steel shank...
my old pair separated sole from boot, and i see a steel plate there...
the comparison between 801, 865 889, shows no plate in the 865?
wish it had a cold weather sole... the new tread is like a hockey puck @ below zero, close to zero celsius temperatures...
twisted knee or ankle "owch" much, my previous three were superior in fit and manufacture.
i still love the boot.May 1, 2020, 03:15 PMHi Al,
The 07865, actually all the ironworkers are toe and plate. The minute the green triangle is on the boot it means just that.
The factory hasn’t changed at all nor has the product. We will look into the slippery outsole but this isn’t really a winter boot.
We are looking at making a winter collection going forward and may use this template.
That said, it’s not normal that the boot separated. If you can give us more info on how long you had the boots and when they separated we could look into this further for you.
